I have puffiness under my eyes when I wake up. I get enough sleep and drink plenty of water. What’s causing it?
Unfortunately this has more to do with age and genetic predisposition than anything else. As we get older our eyeballs tend to sink deeper into their sockets squeezing the fat into the area below our eyes. The problem is made worse by the fact that the skin and muscles become more lax with age. The excess skin and fat can be removed surgically but at considerable expense! Smoking exaggerates the whole process, so if you are a smoker stop now and avoid sun exposure which will also exacerbate the problem.
